The show went on even without figure skating's little darling. The two-day event was held at John Daly's Murder Rock Golf and Country Club located near Branson, Missouri. In addition to the Pro-Am tournament, there was a celebrity concert and longest drive contest held on the runway of the new Branson Airport. The Golf Channel filmed John Daly and his celebrity partner, Luke Wilson, for an upcoming special. The event is one of the biggest fund raisers for the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA and also contributes to the John Daly Foundation.
So quit giving The Lion a hard time. The money raised will help underprivileged kids play sports across the Branson area. John also put on a great concert with friends from Hootie & the Blowfish, Loverboy, Trick Pony, and the Beaver Brown Band. Others performing included: Tommy Thayer from Kiss, Samantha Cole, Steve Azar, Bob Anderson, Johnny Lee and Moe Bandy. Tickets were a mere 10 bucks a pop. See, this bad boy does have a good heart. By the way, I am glad that a couple John Daly friends have defended their bud's honor on this very site.
Dear John, if you need a figure skater for next year's event I'M AVAILABLE! I may not be famous, but I can play golf. Besides, I promise to actually show up. I might even bring my grandmother. She loves Branson. Hell, I'll wear an old skating dress if you want. After all, it's for a good cause.
John joins Tommy Thayer to sing "Knocking on Heaven's Door" at the concert.

John doesn't need Tonya Harding to throw a party. He does a fine job all on his own.
