When I saw this photo of Nicole Hage on Twitter, I knew I had to chat with her. Nicole has style and game—and a flirty polka dot Quagmire dress that is named after her. Sure I’m jealous, but Nicole is a delight to talk to and she really seems to love what she is doing.Nicole started golfing at age three and was playing tournaments by the time she was seven. She went on to play for Auburn University and was a four-time All American, and turned pro right after graduation.
Despite having conditional status on the LGPA, Nicole is focusing on the Duramed FUTURES tour this year. Nicole is planning on playing every event there this year. We talked about everything from daily life on tour to what we wear under our golf dresses. She also turned me on to Blingos and International Jewelry. Yes, I had to make a couple early Mother's Day purchases for myself.
Tell me about the FUTURES tour
If you are going to do the Futures tour you need to do it 100%. I didn’t do that last year, but this a great chance to be on the top five of the money list this year. This is something you have to do, so why not go into it with a good attitude and give it 100%....I want to be with the LPGA, but I have to pay my dues to get to the next level.
Give my your dream foursome
Tiger Woods, because he’s the man; Karrie Webb since she is a good friend; and Meg Mallon. I like learning from the veterans.
Tell me about your favorite Golf Designer
I am in love with Quagmire. It fits me to the tee. Its fun, you can wear it on or off the course. It’s colorful and bright. I love to stand out in the field. I don’t want to wear what everyone else is wearing. Their clothes are also so comfy. I don’t like tight, and I need pockets. I just love golf dresses….Quagmire has a new dress named after me called the Nicky dress. I told them I wanted polka dots...I tend to wear my boring golf clothes on practice days.
Most golfers don’t go out much, so why not look good when you are on the course. I am really excited to get dressed everyday. This is my dressing up. I have 27 pairs of Foot Joys, I have to match to the tee.
Do you have a favorite golf accessory?
YES! My Blingo ball marks by Charlotte Campbell. I have to have my Blingos. I have them in at least 15 different colors to match all my outfits. They have to match perfect. I also love to wear beautiful jewelry from International Jewelry. (More on Charlotte and Blingos soon at RWG)
What part of the game are you working on?
Short game. My ball striking ability is very natural. I’m lucky. I hit a ton of greens and fairways…I need to learn to manage the wind also.
What do you like to do when you are not on the course?
I love to play with my dogs. I have two Cocker Spaniels: Reese and CJ. I love to cuddle with them. I’m obsessed with my dogs.
Tell me something people don’t know about you.
I’m kind of an open book. I don’t have much to hide. I’m not complicated and I stay away from drama…Oh yeah, I have freakish long fingers. I have really big hands.
What is your best victory so far?
There really hasn’t been one. I’m always in the hunt, but I haven’t figured out a way to close the deal yet, but I feel it coming.
Any lucky charms?
No, but I am a creature of habit. Every golfer is superstitious. I don’t care what people say, were all crazy and have our quirks. I have certain things I stick with, but I don’t have a special coin or anything like that.
What are your thoughts on how to get more gals golfing?
Cute golf clothes. Also, clubs can do more to get women excited about golf with women’s clubs and groups. I love playing at my home course on ladies day. I play the red tees. It’s a nice change of pace and everyone is so encouraging. That’s why women’s groups are so good.
I know you are engaged, do you wear your rings on the course?
Yes, I do wear them, but on my right hand.
What do you like to snack on while playing?
Chocolate chip Chewy bars. I don’t really like eating on the golf course. I drink a ton of water, Gatorade and Crystal Light Energy. I totally obsessed with the Wild Strawberry flavor right now.

At Panera you can “Pick Two,” but at RWG you only get to “Pick One.”
Dangly earrings or studs?
Studs, but it depend on the wind.
Skirts or shorts?
Skirts
Pepsi or Coke?
Coke
ProV1 or Callaway?
ProV1
Beach or mountains?
Mountains
Heels or flip-flops?
Flip flops
Plain or Peanut?
Right now, plain. I’m a chocolate fanatic.
Twitter or Facebook?
iPhone or Blackberry?
Blackberry
Watch or no watch?
No watch
Hats or visors?
Hats
Mac or PC?
PC
White belts, yes or no?
Yes!
Should men on the PGA tour be allowed to wear shorts?
I have a ton of friends on the tour and when they wear shorts their legs look so skinny and white. I think pants.

I like the looks of Quagmire's Nicky dress. That style would be perfect for my figure. You have to love a gal that coordinates her clothes with her Blingo's!
Great interview! She's a cutie. Are there 'blingos' for guys..??
Great interview! I love the Quagmire line. I need to find where I can guy one of those golf dresses. I also am going to get a couple of those blingos...
Nicole is GREAT and really fun to follow on Twitter. A dedicated player who's beautiful and ultra-friendly, how awesome is that. Plus...she's a brunette. Yay!
Great Interview. It was nice to get to know some background on a player that we follow on Twitter. I loved your questions.
I played with Nicole in a pro-am today and she was great. Friendly and a great golfer. My daughter loves her dresses. We're rooting for her all the way.
